Drive out Domestic Violence!

Hope Harbour in Columbus Georgia is a nonprofit organization that for more than four decades has served adults and children affected by domestic violence. It began in 1979 when community members recognized the urgent need for safe shelter and support for victims of abuse. As those efforts grew, Hope Harbour established its own confidential emergency shelter and expanded services designed to help survivors find safety and rebuild their lives. The organization responds to individuals and families from multiple counties in Georgia and even across state lines into parts of Alabama.


The mission of Hope Harbour is to provide emergency shelter crisis intervention safety and advocacy for those who have experienced domestic violence. Trained advocates are available around the clock through a crisis hotline to help people in danger find immediate support and resources. Hope Harbour is committed to respecting the dignity of each individual and empowering survivors to break cycles of abuse move toward healing and create a future free from violence.


Hope Harbour’s services go beyond shelter to include case management that helps clients set and reach personal goals support groups for adults and children legal advocacy that assists with protective orders and navigating the court system and community outreach and education that raises awareness of domestic violence and works to prevent it before it starts. These comprehensive services make Hope Harbour a crucial resource for families in crisis and a central force for safety and healing in the region.


The Hot Rods and Harleys Car and Bike Show presented by Rally Point Harley-Davidson and WLTZ Local NBC 38 on Saturday March 21 is an exciting community event that supports Hope Harbour’s mission. With 13 competition classes and a Best in Show award this car and bike show promises a fun day for enthusiasts and families alike. Registration and parking begin at ten in the morning and everyone is invited to come out enjoy the vehicles and help drive out domestic violence by supporting a cause that changes lives. The flyer for the event highlights the opportunity for participants to register and shows that all proceeds benefit Hope Harbour the lifeline for victims of domestic violence in our community.


This event is more than a celebration of classic cars and Harleys. It is an occasion for neighbors individuals and local businesses to come together stand with survivors increase awareness of domestic violence and contribute to a nonprofit that makes a real difference every day.
